monitor, yoiur best friend

Welcome to the year 2003 where for example you will find a computer in 7 out 10 family households. With the computer you find, you will basically see a keyboard, the speakers, the system unit, the printer, and the most useful output device, the monitor, your best friend. The reason why the monitor is considered the most useful output device is because it provides the user with all the images, graphics, or text he or she uses. Without the monitor, the user will not know what her or she is doing.
Today, the most commonly used computer monitor is the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) monitor. The first controllable CRT monitor was developed by a German scientist named Karl Ferdinand Braun in 1897. However, it was not until the early 1940’s that the CRT monitor was used on television sets and throughout the years, improvements have been made to be used on compu- ters.
