Miss Brill

CONFLICT
One concept in literary that shows itself as the work progresses is conflict. Conflict is a struggle or clash between opposing characters, forces, or emotions (Sime 1192). Multiple conflicts lie within the short story “Miss Brill”. Woman versus society plays a major conflict in the story. Miss Brill is virtually pitted against the park goers. Miss Brill has this idea in her head that she is rival to the existence of the park or maybe even the world in her case. In her mind, the park goers are there to see her, not to enjoy the park.
