Medicinal Marijuana

In today’s society of multiple diseases and illnesses, many people are enticed by the multitude of medications and treatment regimes provided by their physicians. Some of the remedies are effective and beneficial, but some find no positive effects with the discomforts of their diagnosis. It is most interesting that the use of medicinal marijuana has become a valuable source of pain management for patients suffering from many ill conditions today.
It is a proven fact that “marijuana is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known. No one has ever died from an overdose, and it has a wide variety of therapeutic applications” (Medical Marijuana Briefing Paper). With these factors in hand, there should be no laws that do not allow a physician to prescribe this therapeutic drug when it could be an invaluable aid to the symptoms and sickness of a patient.
