Since my childhood, I have been told that police, Sheriff, and deputies are there to protect you from harm. If you are ever abused or mistreated, tell your counselor, teacher, minister, but tell someone you trust what has happened.
Back in October of 2001, I was a victim of child abuse. Abuse delivered to me by the hands of my stepfather. It was awkward living there not letting my mother know that he put his hands on me. And meanwhile my sexual abuser goes free.
