What is Marriage?

Marriage may be defined as a long lasting union between a man and a woman, which establishes them as husband and wife. In the legal sense, marriage is a contract between a male and a female by way of choice to establish a family. Marriage is used to regulate the relations between men and women. The permanent union between a male and a female is valued as a secure situation in which children can be produced.
