5.1 Difficulties and Problems in Market Research
• The current difficulties in collecting and using second-hand data
-first-hand data:conduct to collect data for a specific research project
-second-hand data: statistical data that was released by the government institutions, academic institutions, commercial organizations or mass media
-always facing difficulties when foreign corporations try to collect certain market data:

A. Serious shortage of second-hand data
-serious lack of data concerned in comparison with western countries
-lack of specialty for a specific product —› its applicability lowered

B. Not accurate & practical enough
-Reasons:
-lack of systematic and scientific process in collecting
-data being collected and processed by those who are not professionally trained
-too late to release the collected data
