The two short stories that I read were both awfully complicated to understand. The stories became clearer as I read them through a couple of times. The two stories that I read were, “The Tell Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe, and “Never” by H.E. Bates. There are very few characters in both of the stories, and very little information that is given about the personal life of the main character in, “The Tell Tale Heart” .The story mainly goes on with the plot. The setting of the books is both very limited, the setting also creates a lot of effect in both stories and helps bring more effect to the story. The plots in both stories are developed very well, and help the stories create more interest for the reader. There are not many themes in both of the written pieces of work, but the themes that are involved are very important and relate to real life themes of real people.
