Lone Star Lone Star Lone Star is a film that concentrated solely on the beneficial aspects of assimilation. In definition, assimilation is a term that refers to society moving closer to a “melting pot” rather than only focusing on the racial or ethnic aspects of individuals. In the beginning of the movie, Sam Deeds is an individual with an unclear outlook of society. As he searches for the truth about the disappearance of Charlie Wade, events and interactions with people throughout Rio County help him to comprehend and believe in the concept of assimilation. Sam Deeds is the current Sheriff of Rio County as his father, Buddy Deeds, once was. After the body of Charlie Wade was found, Sam Deeds began to seek the answer of this unsolved mystery that was left in the dirt for many years.
