KENYA:Poverty and Political struggle

As a young African American I haven’t personally been through a lot, but my ancestors have. They have been through their share of hard ships and it doesn’t seem like the fight is over just yet. The world has evolved and so has the many problems the affect Kenya, such as poverty and political struggle.
Africa, the motherland or what we sometimes call it is one of the most genuine and richest places on earth. I have had the pleasure of visiting Kenya, and from the moment I step out of the plane I knew that I was in for a real treat. Unlike most tourists I didn’t just want to see the tourist areas, I wanted to see where the “real” people lived and how they lived. When I got a chance to go to some towns in Kenya, I was blown away by the way things looked. I didn’t expect certain areas to look so run down but they did.
