Jane Eyre

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë is the story of a woman in quest for love. Jane searches, romance, but also the feeling of being valued, and the knowledge of belonging somewhere. Edward Rochester wins Jane's heart, and he is the person in the novel to offer Jane a lasting love and a real home. Although Rochester economic and social class is superior, they are intellectual equal. However their new life together is interrupted when Rochester’s secret is reveled. He is already married to Bertha Mason. Jane realizes that her moral values and dignity will prevent her to live as Rochester's mistress. She would be sacrificing her integrity for the sake of her feelings.
Jane is an intelligent, honest, a young girl how faces up to cruelty, inequality, and hardship. Jane maintains her principles of objectivity, human dignity, and morals. She also values intellectual and emotional fulfillment. Her strong belief in gender and social equality challenges the description of the Victorian time agai...
