Is all love poetry alike?

Lyric poetry nowadays is becoming more and more about love, heartbreaks, and sadness. The poems “As Long As You Love Me,” “All I Want,” and “Damaged” are no different. Although they come from three different artists, the main messages are the same. In addition, their themes may be alike, but their appeal, structure, and language used are identical as well.
“As Long As You Love Me” was written by the Backstreet Boys. Its appeal is emotional because it is about a very important subject, love. It grabs the reader’s attention and makes them feel what the writer is feeling. The writer is saying that they don’t care about their loves past and as long as they love each other, nothing else matters. “ I don’t care who you are, where you’re from, what you did, as long as you love me.”
