Immortal Memories

The death of a famous singer shatters the music industry as well as thousands of fans; but she will always be remembered through her music. Four middle-aged women sit, looking at old photographs, reminiscing of their youth, declaring the images golden memories. A legendary basketball great retires from the game; framing his jersey forever captures the memories of his achievements. Human beings immortalize the existence of memories. In William Shakespeare’s “Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer’s Day?” the speaker begins by proposing a question to determine how the memory of his lost love will sustain eternal life.
