Ice Skating Competition

As I entered the building I could immediately smell the familiar scent of the freshly made ice. The cool air hit me and sent shivers all through my body. There I found myself, at the Southwestern Regional Championships. It was my first really big competition. My heart was quickly beating in my chest. My hands were nervously shaking as I carried my bag over to a near by bench and set it down. Millions of thoughts began to run through my head. I decided to clear my mind and I began to prepare myself for my upcoming competition. I started to stretch and warm myself up. I then began to practice my jump rotations.

I caught sight of my coach walking towards me out of the corner of my eye. He gave me a pat on the back, told me to relax, and gave me a big smile.
