I have a dream

In writing the famous “I Have a Dream” speech, Martin Luther King Jr. Clarifies the importance of equality. The purpose of this speech is to inform the public that equality among all is vital for a virtuous society. King brings to the attention of all that “the Negro still is not free…the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination.” Although this speech is approximately 40 years old, the subject matter continues to trouble our great nation today.
