METHODS
A square container is constructed out of glass slides and silicone as shown in Figure 1 below. (Water will be frozen as ice in this container.)

In order to make the container perfectly squared, first a square is drawn on the glass base of the container using permanent marker, ruler, and protractor. Then a glass slide is then placed on top of each side of the drawn rectangle. Silicone is used to glue the glass slide to the base as shown in Figure 2. For this particular experiment, the use of silicone will be more effective than most types of glue since it can prevent water from leaking out of the container’s edge.
