I Am

The day that Lewis Hine took my picture is hard to recall itself, so I’ll tell you as much as I can about that, and I’d like to apologize for me getting into other subjects. Let’s see, I was 8 years old I believe. I had been living at the coal mines, because my parents had died two years ago. The reason I had been able to live there was because I agreed to work for a place to live and eat. I would wake up in the morning, get to work, eat lunch if they distributed it, and work some more.
