During my FSA/FLEX year, I gained lots of very useful knowledge and experience. However I consider that one of the most important things that I learned was volunteerism since I both did volunteer work in the US and learned about it in high school and in general from FSA/FLEX program. This term was new for me because volunteerism was and still is very rare in Tajikistan. People are used to work for money. I think that in order for Tajikistan to develop and resolve many problems both economical and social, people need to learn about volunteerism and do more volunteer work, especially young generation.
From the time I came back home, I wanted to do something in order to resolve at least some problems in Tajikistan that make peace in my country very fragile. I always believed that I can do many things by myself but with more people around I can achieve even more.
