Hernando de Soto

Hernando de Soto was a Spanish explorer. Hernando de Soto was born in 1500 and he unfortunately died at age 42 in May 1542. Hernando de Soto was a Spanish conquestor, which is a Spanish conqueror and explorer. Hernando de Soto sailed the Atlantic Ocean and was the first European to explore Florida, and also south eastern United States. Hernando de Soto was a man in search of gold and silver, and also was very aggressive as you continue to read this. In 1524, he went on an expedition to Nicaragua, South America, with Francisco de Cordoba.

Later, Hernando de Soto sided with Pedro Arias de Avila against Francisco de Cordoba for trying to claim land for himself, and was killed.
