The Golden Years of Athens and Roman Empire

I.- Introduction.-
The purpose of this philosophy project is to analyze the aspects about religious and philosophy beliefs of two ancient’s societies: Greeks and Romans. The task is to discuss both the positive and negative impact of religion and philosophy and explain the significance for our world today.
Connolly mentions that Greece, in the fifth century BC, was the shining star of the ancient world. Famous people among others such as: the sculptor Phidias, the dramatists Sophocles and Euripides, the comedy writer Aristophanes, the historian Thucydides, the philosopher Socrates and his young students Plato and Xenophon, never in history have so many great people been alive at the same time and town (9).
