Globalization

“As we enter the 21st century, the global economy requires us to seek opportunity not just at home, but in all the markets of the world. We must shape this global economy, not shrink from it.”
It is because I agree with former president Bill Clinton, that I must affirm today’s resolution. Resolved: When in conflict, globalization ought to be valued above national sovereignty.

Before I continue in this debate, I feel the need to define the following key terms:
Conflict defined by Webster’s College Dictionary as- to be contradictory, at variance, or in opposition
Globalization defined by Webster’s College Dictionary as - to extend to other or all parts of the globe; make worldwide
Ought defined by dictionary.com as - used to indicate obligation or duty
Value defined by Webster’s College Dictionary as - favorable regard
Above defined by Webster’s College Dictionary as - superior in rank, authority, or standing to
National Sovereignty defined by Webster’s College ...
