GLASGOWS HOGMANAY
Hogmanay is a special time for most people but it is especially important to the Scottish public. As representatives of Scotland’s major city, Glasgow City Council have always seen Hogmanay as a major priority and a chance to develop events for the citizens of the city, and its visitors.
Hogmanay is the main attraction of Glasgow’s Winter Festival with up to 100,000 people expected to attend all the different stages on the night. Hogmanay 2002 offered different musical events based within George Square and the Merchant City running from 9pm to 1.30am.
