Gandhi's Relevance in Modern Times

I remember my grandmother telling me a story. It was 11December, 1930, not an important event as far as history is concerned. For my grandmother, however, it was a precious memory. She told me that the whole atmosphere in her village was full of patriotism that day. The Village Park was being decorated with flowers, a podium had been constructed, and people were going to every house in the village giving a cry of swadeshi, poorna swaraj and most importantly to give the news that Bapuji was coming to their village that day. She told me that it was the happiest moment in her life when she saw Gandhi. He made the greatest impact on their lives. He urged them that day to fight for azad bharat by helping him in the non-cooperation movement. He asked them to boycott foreign good...
