For years just hearing the words “marijuana, pot, dope, weed, etc.” have perked up the ears of Americans everywhere. I cant remember the last time that I watched an hour of tv or listened to the latest music without hearing someone refer to reefer. Because of that very fact one question comes to mind…why? What is so intriguing about pot that Americans have become so obsessed with it? Well today I am going to answer that question and tell you three reasons why America has become so obsessed with marijuana; entertainment, the government, and the mystery behind the plant itself.
First, I know that I am not the first person to realize that there has been a rash of weed related media from movies such as “Half-Baked” and “How High” to bands such as The Kottonmouth Kings and Afro-Man.
