These implications can be separated into effects of training and experience, selection, and job rotation. The first implication has to deal with the effects of training and experience. Since both training and work experience have the potential to change the situational favorableness, they can in effect change the performance level of a particular leader. For example, as a leader becomes more experienced in a particular job he is going to gain a better understanding of what is expected and exactly how to go about getting the job done. This would in turn raise the job structure associated with the job. If the job favorableness had been moderate then this change could push it into the high favorableness category.
