Equality in America
Equality is referred as the right of having differences in skin color, background, culture, and status, but share similar social position and receiving the same treatment. It is hard to define equality for each individual, for he/ she will have a different definition because of his/ her background. Equality has been and is still a continuous issue in our American society. It started with the migration of people seeking freedom and liberty in a new land, but then is later judged for whom they are and what they did. As our nation is in continuous state of growth, so is the integration and fusion of the diversity in the American society. The battle with equalization in our society is all a matter of perspective. But equality in the American society will never be a reality, for Americans will be in continuous battle with each other to receive the acknowledgement, respect and service each individual deserves.
