Early American Settlement In Texas

On a winter day, a tall muscular traveler and his skinny wife, followed by their cute and chubby eleven-year old son and three mix breed hunting dogs were at the edge of a rain-filed swamp in the western reaches of the new state of Louisiana. A lazy-bone from Tennessee had fled to avoid bankruptcy and jail was not happy with what he had to face, the family was getting worried about the road from Louisiana to Texas.

The three were dressed in buckskin garments which the mother and who appeared to be responsible for all important decisions, while her snobbish husband thrashed about deciding issues which never seemed to matter. The obvious thing about this family when you see them was the incredible amount of gear each member carried.
