Dr. Ralph Vaughan Williams

Dr. Ralph Vaughan Williams was born in Down Ampney, England on October 12th 1872. From 1887 to 1890 he went to a school called Charterhouse, he then spent two years at The Royal College of Music and then to Trinity College, Cambridge, where he took the degree of Bachelor of Music in 1894 and the Bachelor of Arts in 1895. Vaughn Williams then went back to The Royal College of music and studied composition under Sir Hubert Parry and Sir Charles Stanford and studied the organ under Sir Walter Parratt, who was a leading British organist.
