Until now, I never thought I used doublespeak. My interpretation of doublespeak was something that a corrupt government used as in George Orwell’s novel “1984”. Until I read the essay about doublespeak by William Lutz. I understand it now and I know that it is not something only used by a corrupt government but all governments, and also me and everyone around me.
I remember a time I used doublespeak like it was yesterday. It was during a job interview for my first job at Dominos Pizza.
