Dear Mr. Martin:

Subject: Conference chairs appeared to have something spilled on them. Your invoice 5146 dated July 25, 2003.

My order of conference chairs, tables and desks arrived today. The tables and desks appear to be all right but, eleven of the 2 dozen conference chairs are a mess. It appears that some kind of a liquid chemical had been spilled all over. The rich brown leather upholstery of the damaged chairs is splotched with unsightly light tan. To make matters worse, I have advertised these chairs at a good price. I expect customers to want them; I must not disappoint them.

Because of my sale starting in only 5 days, I need a rapid replacement. I will ship back the chairs but, without paying freight charges.

I will appreciate promptness in correcting this problem.
