I believe that some goals (ends) are so important that they justify nearly any means. It really depends on the situation. I believe that if it is a life threatening situation then any means should be justified. Throwing People Out Of Too Full Lifeboats In Order To Save Anyone Take for example throwing people out of a too full lifeboat in order to maximize the probability of saving anyone.
