Scientists complete sequencing of human genetic code

This article is basically about the announcement of the completion of the map of the human genetic code to an accuracy of 99.99 percent. Only three years ago the international consortium of scientists announced that they had completed a rough draft of the code, and now the sequence is essentially complete and available on computer databases to other scientists, where they are already receiving more than 120,000 visits a day. The project started in 1990 and was expected to last 15 years at the cost of 3 billion, but lasted 13 years at the cost of 2.7 billion. They now say that the next step is applying this new knowledge, which is fundamental in understanding ourselves.
