Determined

“The Journey”By Mary Oliver is about a determined person who was on a journey across the sea. People tried to talk out of taking this journey but since this person was a determined person then this would not hold this person back. This journey across the sea was a cold and foggy which on the way across the sea this person saw branches and stones. As it got later it got colder and this person’s had started to get stiff.
Mary Oliver the author of more than 10 types of poetry led to an appointment as the chair of the writing department of the Fire Arts workshop in Provincetown , Massachusetts in 1972-1973. She was born in 1935, to the parents of Edward William Oliver and Helen M.V. Oliver. Her father was a teacher and she also later taught at Case Western Reserve University. She went to college at Ohio State University, then also later attended Vassar College a prestigious women’s college. Strongly influenced by New York poet Enda St. Vincent Millay she began to write many poems....
