death on mackenzie

Percule Hoirot was sitting in his cabin stroking his carefully groomed mustache. He had just boarded a steamer traveling down the Mackenzie River as a nice, relaxing vacation after his epic adventure on the Lorient Express.
He decided to go for a stroll on the deck to relieve some of his tension, he had always enjoyed going for walks. Percule began his walk and soon he encountered newlywed couples, which were having a minor dispute. He decided that it was just them adjusting to becoming married and that nothing would result from it. He continued his walk and after some time, returned to his cabin and retired to bed.
He awoke the next morning to the ringing of bells; apparently, the Captain of the ship had called everyone to the stern. As soon as he arrived there he overheard that someone had been killed during the night. Hoirot decided to delve deeper into this situation and he started asking questions.
