He is terribly ashamed, but refuses to accept his faults. Instead, he constantly attempts to cover his flaws with lies. Willy Loman is a man who “took a wrong turn†somewhere in life. From that single occurrence, he shamefully regrets not taking the “chance of a lifetime.†He has become too focused on what he wants to happen that he cannot see the proper way in going about achieving his goal. His world turns upside down and inside out because of his constant flaw of reminiscing over past events.
