Confucianism ISP

Confucianism is usually described as a social philosophy that is highly reliant upon ethics and moral teachings. Confucianism encompasses all elements of Chinese society – it is a philosophy, a religion, and a way of life. Confucianism began with K’ung Fu-tzu who was born in 551B.C. Confucius is Latin meaning “Grand Master”. Little is known about the life of Confucius, although one of his famous quotes state “at fifteen, I had my mind set on learning”.
Confucius was a nonconformist, interested in politics, and was always aware of his teaching abilities. His life was simple, and it was only after his death in 479B.C that Confucianism and his teachings became wide spread. As described in Confucian Analects, there are four things which Confucius taught; these were letters, ethics, devotion of soul, and truthfulness.
