CON MIS MANOS

“Con Mis Manos” is an excellent play and all of the actors did a great job. I would like to focus on the character known as “Esteban”, who is David’s father. Esteban is a man that knows how hard it is to make a living. He takes great pride in telling his son about how he worked hard and made a living with his own two hands. When he learns that his wife has a cancerous tumor he is distraught. But being the strong man that he is he tries to believe that nothing is wrong. He goes into denial and nothing can get him out of it. He feels that he must do something and maybe even feels responsible for her illness. So he decides to do whatever is necessary to help her through her illness. He thinks his main goal is to please his dying wife Josefina but actually his actions are done to feed his own denial. He wants to make sure that the last few months of his wife are the best she ever had. He loves her with all his heart and cant bear the thought that she will not be with him soon. Wh...
