compare and contrast

The stories, "Miss Brill" and "The Tale Tell Heart" are different and similar in many ways. Both short stories contain very graphic descriptions of their stories and in both cases they left a lot up to the imagination. The actors are very different from each other; one is a man that turns crazy, and the other a woman who perceives herself as being in a play and as an actress.
The conflict in the stories could be both similar and different. In "Miss Brill," this short story is narrated in the third person from the point of view of the limited omniscient narrator who primarily acts as the voice of the story’s protagonist, Miss Brill. By telling the story through the eyes of the protagonist, Mansfield is able to convey to the reader the protagonist’s loneliness and the lack of self-awareness. She offers no explanation as to the Miss Brill’s past, leaving it to the readers to draw their own conclusions. The protagonist in "Tell-Tale Heart" doesn't have a name but he is a man. He is...
