Charles Horton Cooley

Horton was born in 1864 on the edge of the Ann Arbor campus of the University of Michigan . He was the fourth out the six children in the family. By the time he was born, his family was living quite comfortably. In the year of Charles’s birth, his father was appointed to the Supreme Court of Michigan.
