The Cab Ride

As Sonny and his brother drove together in the cab along the streets where they grew up, they were both looking out their separate windows. I assumed both reflected on the past, but also on the present and looking for answers to questions that have been haunting them for years.
While Sonny was looking out his cab window at his old neighborhood, I couldn’t help but think he was wondering what had gone wrong. At this point of his life he had no job, he was fighting a drug addiction and he had no family he could turn to for help.
