Buffalo Bill

William Fredrick Cody “Buffalo Bill” was born on February 29, 1846. He was the legend that gave the west its’ history and name.
He Lived….
Buffalo Bill was born in LeClaire, Iowa in 1846. When he was still a young ‘un his family and himself moved to Leavenworth, Kansas. Cody left his home in Kansas at the age of eleven. Later he got the name Buffalo Bill from hunting, and that was when legends about him and newspaper articles were published about Cody. There were even dime novels (novels that were sold for a dime) that were sold that had myths about how he did amazing things and cut down forests. Some had myths about him cutting down forest because of the strength that he had.
The Wild West
Cody was a buffalo hunter, Untied States army Scout, and an Indian fighter. Although he did all those things, Buffalo Bill was best known for being the man who gave the wild west its name. Cody and Ned Buntline made a show together called The Scouts of the Plains. ...
