Specific purpose: To inform my audience of the importance and ease of budgeting.
Thesis statement: We must know how to budget our money so that we are not on the verge of financial crisis.

Introduction

Attention material: Eating crackers all week because you simply can’t afford a decent meal. Borrowing your friend’s underwear because you don’t have laundry money. Skipping showers for a week. These are all a result of not being on a budget.
Credibility material: I’ve done research and found that University students are vulnerable to financial crisis, especially if they are not on a budget.
Thesis statement: We must know how to budget our money so that we are not on the verge of financial crisis.
Preview: College students do need to be aware of how to follow a budget.
