The Fourth Noble Truth is the path to follow in order to not want things of this world. It is the eightfold path. The first is right views. It is to see things for they really are. It is to understand the Four Noble Truths. It is to recognize life is suffering and have wisdom to find the true meaning behind life. The second is Right Intent.
