Broadcasting should never be a monopoly.

Broadcasting today is a part of democracy as one of the columns of freedom of speech. Mass media is a fourth power which plays significant role in life of society. The first amendments to the U.S. Constitution declared Freedom of Speech as the first step to found the world democracy.
The right for freedom of speech gives people a unique opportunity to express their opinion and ideas. When there is a monopoly of broadcasting it means that there is no competition of opinion and ideas. At this point such monopolized broadcasting is just a tool for the government to manipulate people, dictating them what is good and what is bad.
