Breaker morant

Since I first watched the movie Breaker Morant about 15 years ago, I have been captivated by the story of Lieutenant Harry Harbord Morant and the Bushveldt Carbineers of the Boer War. The mistreatment of Morant and his fellow officers fueled my interest in his life and writings. Although he is a minor poet, his life story makes his work important in the history of the injustices of man and war. I'll continue to work on this page and add his poetry as I can.

Short Bio
Harry Harbord Morant, born Edwin Henry Murrant, was born around 1865, most likely in Bridgwater, Somerset, England. Morant grew up in England, leaving for N Queensland, Australia, in 1883 in order to avoid debt and discharge from the Royal Naval College.
