The purpose of the “Time Sample Observation” was to make objective observations of a chosen behavior, and to conclude the validity of my assumptions about that particular behavior by analyzing the collected data. I chose to concentrate on a behavior, which I felt was particularly dominant in Gregory. From early on, he seemed to interact with the other children much less frequently compared to his peers. He appeared to communicate with his classmates and teachers sporadically during the times that I observed him, as opposed to his peers who were constantly engaging in group activities such as "house" or "doctor," or were seeking attention
from various teachers.
