Honeyeaters are Australia's analogue of nectar feeding birds. The bird is nomadic in that they travel from place to place in search of nectar rom a wide variety of flowers over a large migratory feild. Due to its migratory habits, the bird cannot spend much of its time in search of a high quantity of nectar from a particular flower. Therefore, they are attracted to colourful (mainly red) flowers that often do hold alot of nectar.
