Big Nipples

Recently our House of Representatives and our Senate have overwhelmingly passed a resolution allowing President Bush to take action in Iraq against Saddam Hussein’s regime. However, I believe that this decision to grant the power to invade Iraq was given very prematurely, for the wrong motives, and without true backing by the people of the United States. The problem with all this is that we live in a democracy and a democracy is based upon expressing the voice of the people and making sound, well thought out, rational decisions. I feel as if President Bush has unjustly pressured congress into passing the war resolution and for all the wrong reasons.
The last time that we invaded Iraq was because of their aggression towards Kuwait. However, Bush has no real basis for why we should be invading Iraq other than the fact he labeled the country as an Axis of Evil.
