begining of the clash

The Clash were a British punk rock band. They formed after lead singer Joe Strummer saw the Sex Pistols live. He left his band he 101'ers. Strummer then formed The Clash with himself on vocals & guitar, Mick Jones on guitar,Paul Simonon on bass, and Nicky "Topper" Headon on drums.
The Clash were inspired by the sex pistols, but had different political views. The sex pistols were nihilistic,and the clash were very idealistic.
