The movie I watched was “ A Beautiful Mind”. This movie was about a Nobel Prize winning Mathematician named John Nash. Dr. John Nash suffered from what is known as Schizophrenia.
Schizophrenia is a disease where the symptoms can vary over a wide spectrum. In Dr. Nash’s case he was diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia. The symptoms that follow are usually delusions and visual and or auditory hallucinations[1]. Before the usually sudden development of the disorder, the individuals often display normal functionality.
According to the film, Dr. Nash suffered from all of the above symptoms to the extreme. The movie illustrated his hallucinations by actual entities on the screen with Dr. Nash. They did not actually exist so only he could see or hear them. Although in real life his hallucinations probably were ...
