Bailiff Duties
In the court of law before a trial the bailiff is required to be there 15 minutes earlier than everyone else. It is his or her job to make sure that everything is neat and orderly. He needs to sharpen the judge’s pencils and make sure he has a writing tablet. It is also his duty to assist the judge with any court room problems. He may assist the counsel with handing messages, pictures, and any other evidence to the judge. When the accused and representatives enter the room the bailiff tells the judge. When the judge comes in the court room then the bailiff clearly says, “All rise for the honorable judge_________...
